What is awesome about these tips is that even hesitant and skeptical partners tend to be pleasantly surprised at how this weekly tradition really works.
This tradition will help you feel more seen and safe in your relationship AND minimize conflicts, thus increasing peace and stability. Despite time being a precious commodity, scheduling a weekly "State of the Union meeting" (what the Gottman's call it), actually gives you more time as you will get along better than before and thus have less time arguing or feeling bad. You will feel more like a team and that provides each partner with more peace and clarity to help your days and responsibilities go more smoothly.
